Hey I did a lot of searchin around just a couple weeks ago for the very same reason. I looked at everything from your $30 autozone special to the 400 cal car covers..... Ended up ordering one from summit racing called Block-it  model Noah.... $150 yr 4 warranty and came with a free lock and cable to make it harder to steal, *Free shipping* they gave me a hat and it was on my door step in less than 2 days! .. very please with fit and quality  :2thumbs:

Just 6T9 CHGR

I just bought a wolf brand made of the Noah material from Summit as well for my Mustang....$149

So far its pretty much waterproof....held a nice puddle of water in the spoiler....

sounds good guys. I am interested in a fully water-proof cover also. I have dealt with Summitt b4 & had no problems with them at all.

I always heard the waterproof covers held moisture in as well, and to avoid them.  Is that not true?  I was just looking to buy one as well and was looking at water resistant.  I just want some protection for the winter.

Thats true too. I have seen many covers that say "Virtually" water-proof but then again I dont know what would be worse a non-breathing cover or one that allows moisture to get through?

A fully waterproof cover WILL and does hold moisture in. It condenses on the car and cannot evaporate (I live in the North of England - so rain is a speciality! ;)

I use a "coverc raft NOAH" outside cover.

It was pretty expensive, but it keeps most of the water out. If you lift the cover after a rainstorm to look, the car bodywork is covered in  a damp film, like a "sweat". This then evaporates off, through the fabric and the car is dry again. A fully waterproof cover wouldn't allow this.

The only problem is when you have successive days of heavy rain with no let up, you can get the water pooling in the depressions in the bonnet. I usually take a wash leather to that area to be sure.
(That area of Charger design is my big bugbear! :brickwall:)
Hope this helps,
Nick
