Man does this kid have wheels.  He makes it look easy.  Single game rushing record 296 yards!  He already has 1032 yards on the season at exactly half way.  Finally something for Viking fans to cheer for!

Ok Guys, I understand that not everyone here is a Viking fan.   :shruggy:  I guess I meant this thread for just Viking fans of which I am born and bred even when they basically suck.  ;D

I never liked Adrian Peterson because I'm a student at OU's rival school (Oklahoma State). I will say that he is an amazing running back, but as a person, he has done a lot of things that should have got him thrown out of school like taking a Lexus and other gifts from OU alumni.

I was so bummed out that I wasn't able to watch the game. :'(  I was a die hard vikings fan and NEVER missed a game until last season.  They just started to suck so bad that it would ruin my whole day when they lost.  It is nice to have somebody like Peterson on the team that is fun to watch.  As big of knuckle heads that Randy moss and Daunte Culpepper were they sure made the games fun to watch before.

Vainglory, Esq.

You think YOU were bummed out?  I was going to go to the game until my friends flaked out on me. :flame:

Oh well, I went to a Gopher hockey game instead.

:iagree:  It sure was.  I can look out my boss's window and see the practice field and we would watch them on a nice Sunny day.  I mean, on our lunch hour ofcourse..  :icon_smile_big:

The vikes need to get dante and randy back, that would be fun to watch again.  but then Adrian would never get the ball.

Adrian is unreal.  That was a fun game to watch!  That is about all the offense the Vikes can muster, but yesterday it was more than enough!  Go Vikes!

He is very impressive. They were talking today about if he has a shot at the single season record for rushing yards, but I don't think he has a shot at it. The problem is that the rest of the team is horrible, and all eyes are keying on stopping him. He will still get his 90-120 yards a game, but I don't see him popping off 150 per game.

If he is anything like Larry Johnson it will be short lived. The guy comes in this year and acts like he's gifted to get yards. For 45 million he looks slow. Now he is out.....good.. let's see what the Priest brings again. I have been waiting on the Chefs to do something since they beat the vikings in 70. I gotta world champ tag from then....at least everyone knows it's vintage

Im a steelers fan, but I have always liked watching the vikes. Except when they are playing the steelers. . .  :hah: superbowl IX....

but seriously, They have a similar style to pittsburgh which is what I like. They have a good Defensive front 7, their special teams is good (ignore the 109 yard return), and they have a pounding running game. Very fun to watch. Im amazed the vikings record isnt better, they have beat some quality teams and dropped the ball on others i guess.

That was a real fun game to watch. I think we had a shot at winning the minute Tarvaris got hurt. :icon_smile_big:

Stop it guys.   ::)  It is painful and many times embarrassing to be a Vikings fan.  Just when we have something to get excited the rug gets yanked.  I am the first one to admit that.  :brickwall:

Its not any fun watching the game when its a blow out.  I wish the Vikes would have kept it close.  But i'll take a win anyday.

I wish the Vikes would get Denny, Daunte, and Randy back, those were fun time.  But if those guys were back Adro would probably never get the ball.

LOL!  :smilielol:  I will quit my wining.  Fortunately I have been able to disconnect myself from the game enough that it doesn't hurt like it used to.  Nothing really surprises my anymore.  After the 1998 15-1 season they had and then losing to Atlanta in the Championship game I kinda went numb as a fan.  I was way more diehard before that.  The last game I attended at the Dome was in 1998.  Now I got my Charger to keep me happy.

I hate our current coach but I wouldn't take Denny back.  No way I would want Moss back.  He can stay in NE and as for Culpepper, he is washed up.  But as a Packer fan, that is precisely why you want the Vikings to take them back. :D
