Pics anyone? Resto shop, better than a car show

I say better than a car show because car shows can get kind of boring when all you see are perfect specimens all the time. Every once in a while it's cool to see more of the process and the work that goes into them rather than just row after row of finished product. Anyway, I took a Mopar buddy of mine out to North American Muscle Cars today (he needed a k-member and an axle housing) and took my camera along because this guy always has some cool stuff in his shop. About 99% of his business is Mopar and it's like a mini car show every time. Check it out...

I see a "for sale" sign in the window of the red 71' charger.   Do you know how much it was?

I can ask but I took a closer look at the for sale sign for contact info and there wasn't any. If you're interested I'll call and find out what's going on or you can ask them yourself if you want (503) 775-5012. The paint job is done on it they just have to do all the cutting and buffing.

:scratchchin: Looks like a '68 Satellite convertible on the lift. Yes, they are stand up people who treat you fair. I had them pull the 383 before my '68 went to the body shop because I don't have any room to do that here at home. The owner's name is Steve Miles and the thing I like about him is he's not a know-it-all, hard sale kind of guy, just very easy going and helpful. And they're close to my house. :2thumbs:

I love seeing progress pics.  Even when there's less progress done.  During resto pics in the shop or home shop are always cool to see.  Here's me scraping undercoating from the driver's side wheelwell some years back.  It sure ain't a pretty picture but that's how it is during a resto.

This was the next stage after scraping undercoating then blasting.

That's my good friend's red '71.  He's got a pile of money sunk in the body and paint, way more than he anticipated I think.  It's gonna end up with my torq thrusts on it hopefully.  I thought he put an air grabber hood on it?  And I'm pretty sure it's up for sale once Steve's done with it.  This is the same friend that owns the f8 exterior, b5 interior 4 gear '69 Bee.  :eek2:

I like Steve, the old Steve more so.  Back when he worked out of his garage and charged $20 an hour.  He is a stand up guy tho.  :2thumbs: I'm glad his new shop has been doing so well.

This car? :)

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)
