With the $ i saved from the RV being less then a third of the budget I'd allocated to that single purchase I was able to get a much nicer ride then i would've been able to get otherwise...

He's going to be this guy.

Alfred Letournear (France) towed this 22' Liner in the late '40's as an Airstream publicity stunt

Look at this!  Who would pull a camper trailer with a convertible today?

One more.....
;)

Did you ever see that I Love Lucy episode? Lucy tries to cook a meal in the back while Ricky is driving & trailering it along.  Might be a bit dated now, but it was pretty funny back when I saw it as a kid.

Hey Brock, I did the same thing last year, I bought a mountain bike because the old road bike I have just can't cut it on the roads here. I am trying to find more time to ride, but with daylight savings, I may have to get up even earlier in the morning & ride before work.

This is the bike, a Raleigh in a copper, or burnt orange color.

Now all Dave needs is a "CHiP's" costume to wear when riding the bike :smilielol:

:iagree: Way cool!

Check out these pics my Mom found of my Grandparent's setup from the 60's & 70's. :2thumbs:
I wish there was more pics of the cars, I remember riding in the Coronet wagon as a kid.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Grant, I bet that old Airstream trailer is still around too. I looked at a used one about 10 years ago that was a late 60's model. A friend of mine bought it & still has it. They built these to last & they are very well made.

Cool pics, too.

It very well could be. They sold it in the late 70's in Mesa Arizona.
In a way, it would be fun to try & track it down. If I owned a gold Coronet wagon, I just might have to. ;D

I posted my latest edition a 1976 Dodge Mini-Wini a while back but just in case you missed it.  I love it and so does my kid as you can tell by his smiling mug  ;D in the drivers seat.  Very vintage 1970's interior.

Back when i had my 55 Chevy i was trying to find a bubble or a bambi for a couple thousand or less but they just did not exist.  You can not find a single axle airstream anywhere for under $5000, and most were going for $10000.  I realized i was competing with boomers who were back down to 2 person families.  My 55 got traded in for my C500 and now i've got 2 kids and my spouse doesnt camp anymore.  So maybe when i'm a empty nester i'll get one for me and the girlfriend.  :D

My wife wouldn't camp until I bought the camper.  Now she is ready to do some camping what with the air conditioning electric hookup and bathroom.  Of course you might just be needing a solid excuse for a girlfriend.  :D

You know, i was told that girlfriend sounds so committed.  maybe i'll use the term side-action from now on.  :coolgleamA:

The new guy at work was talking about this girl he's seeing and how he's going over there tonight and blah blah blah.  I asked, "So where are you going out tonight with your girlfriend?"  and he says, "dude, she's not my girlfriend, we are not that far yet."  (even though they are bumping fuzzy's)   I said, "Ummm,  ::) ok, the girl that you are friends with then."  he says, "that's better."  So after being married for 7 years now i forgot how serious it was to declare if you have a girlfriend or not...  :smilielol:   :smilielol:
