Fuel pump leak

New pump, old line, using hard line.
It is coming from the outlet hose fitting.

The line can be pushed in/out even once the threads are tightened.
Shouldn't it tighten up against something once the threads are tight?

I tried a brand new line and it has same issue?
I also tried a hose fitting.

Can someone someone assure me if this requires a line fitting?

Most fuel pumps will use a flared line to seat/seal up the fuel. If you can move the fuel line in and out the flared end of the hose isn't fully seated inside the pump. It's possible that : The threads are not fully tapped in the fuel pump so check that to make sure.
