Any interest in exact reproductions of 68-70 armrests - in colors!

I'm gauging interest in having exact reproductions of original style 68-70 charger armrests made.  I have a manufacturer lined up who has produced exact repos - not dyed ones.  They can do just about any color, and they look perfect!  Cost for a set (4) should be less than $100.  Just reply here so I can see if there is enough interest.  I'd have to run about 30 sets of each color to make it cost effective, so i want to check first. Thanks.

If you can get them to look realistic (unlike the current offerings) I'd definitely be interested. The brand new ones (since Labor Day) in my Barracuda are already cracking from my elbow so I'm not thrilled with the dye.

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

As Troy said, if they indeed look exactly like the originals and the quality is there, put me down for a set of White Armrests!

If it's a go, put me in for a set of blue ones!
If the price ends up close to what you've stated, it sounds like a good deal. :2thumbs:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Yes, black here too. I just noticed my dyed 37 year old driver side arm rest has a small split in it.

Set of dark blue....who do you want the check made out to?

Looks like we have enough people to support the dark blues being made :yesnod:, I was worried at first.

In colors? Put me down for a set or two if they do burnt orange. Of course getting 30 people to commit to burnt orange will most likely not happen.  :-\ Maybe I should buy the whole stock?  :o

Crane sells really nice armrests, but only in black and white.

What years are you gonna do? whites and colors are different for 1968 versus 1969 versus 1970

although black is black

You'd sell a whole bunch if you can actually make them as sturdy as the originals. The current reproduction arm rests look close but don't hold up worth beans. There are tons of cars that use these and tons that need them, especially the drivers side. Good luck with your project if you decide to do it, I don't think it's going to be easy.

I used to own a mopar because it was different, but now I know better.

If the armrest pads are exact reproductions priced at less than $100 for a set of 4... I will take a minimum of 4 sets in black.  I would not want to pre-pay before production though.  BTW, you said "I have a manufacturer lined up who has produced exact repos..."  Assuming you meant the company has some finished parts, do you have any high resolution pictures of them?

If you can bring them to the market as perfect exact reproductions at less than $100 per set of 4... you will sell a lot more than 30 of each color!
