Well if any of you know southern bush motorsports you know how crazy there prices are for mopars. And they are selling one on ebay and its matching numbers with dana rearend and rare headlamp wipers. Maybe I'm wrong but if you look at it on ebay it seems thats high for an R/T even with an airgrabber. But maybe it's just I've never seen a project like this hit that high of a price that doesn't even run. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250182021270

If its the car im thinking of, it was bought by a member here for @ 8-10k (i think?) and sold because he already has cars to restore and will made some $ from selling it.
I would not pay 18,500 for it but it does have some nice options, but will cost alot of $ to restore
There's one for sale of craigslist which was put on by a member here (not his car) check it out under "cars for sale" the pics are crap, but id prefer that car for the $ (plus you'd probbly get it for less than the asking price) but the listing has expired

The high bid will show more what it's 'worth'....

Omg  :o you guys are right I didn't notice that it was same one that someone had on here and sold about 2 months ago i wondered why it somewhat looked like I've seen it before lol. But these guys sure like making alot of dough since one of our members sold it for $8,000.

I don't think its worth even half of that in its present form. I am also still looking for the Dana he is advertising. Does he have one to sell with it? He sure as hell doesn't have one in it.

I was looking in the local craigslist and I found a 72 Demon 340 that was all there. It ran and drove, just needed abit of paint work. The guy wanted $6400. I would buy that in a heartbeat before that 71 R/T.

Anyboy notice one of the questions??

It depends on what you mean by "project."  If it's a decent and running car to start with, it would probably be worth the money.  If it's a basketcase that needs that much money invested just to make it roadworthy, then in a word.............no.

So far it looks like these guys are 2K in the hole. The chance of them getting more than 10K for that car is doubtful. $18,500 is a pipe dream, and after cars flop again at BJ this year, it will be even cheaper in February. As most of you know, dealers and flippers base their asking price mostly on what happens at Barrett-Jackson. No matter the car or rarity, they still love to use BJ as a selling tool.

Oh no, not this R/T again.  :rotz:
It is like a bad dream, the R/T that I did not end up with. :flame:

And I left them a question on the ebay saying do you guys expect to even get 13,000 for it. And they replied nope but why the hell would you be putting a price tag on it on there website for 18,500 then.   :brickwall:

This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

I posted on here over a year ago that there seemed to be a lot of high dollar Mopars starting to flood the market - those owners are the closest to what is happening.  Why do you think that was?  Because the market was hitting a peak and was headed the other way guys!  Well guess what..it happened.  There are lots of people and dealers upside down and stuck with cars...they're taking a bath!!  But it ain't over...it will be an even better buyer's market sometime down the road, keep your eyes and ears open.  I still see ads like "..this car will keep appreciating"...blah, blah..  O.K. Einstein, so will the stock market.

This R/T thing shows that if you're trying to flip cars in this market you're gonna' get burned unless you know the market unlike, these poor fellows.  Use your brain not your emotions.  Why on God's green Earth would you pay $8K for this car then expect to make money in this market or even restore it and find out you put $10K more into it than what it's worth.  Save a boatload of cash and buy one that's already done, man.

Good luck to everybody looking for a car within the next year, the bargains will be out there, you just have to be patient.

The 22'' radiator shown in one of the pictures tells you this car doesn't have a Dana. The picture of the 8 3/4 also confirms it...

I would hate to see it after being media blasted. It may need frame rails too. Say you were the owner and had little money in it, you still could almost buy one all done by the time you put $$$ in that one :Twocents:

And a little update on the charger is they put it on there website and guess what they dropped the price down a whole 500 bucks to make if really cheap not  ::). Makes me angry that some people like this makes it really hard for people to get mopar projects or of any type.

I don't think they are gonna make much on it. Maybe the one who sold it to another member on here did? He was asking pretty much what was bid on it. If someone paid 8 for it and tried to flip it it didn't work out for them. As far as some sellers making it hard to get mopar projects......people wanting them are the ones making it hard because they are the ones bidding on it. It takes more effort to find them and then spring the money and hope you make some unless you got a steal.... then kudos to them. The seller just puts out a price and the one that makes you angry just pays more. It's how bad do you want it. To me I would have only bid 3500. :Twocents:
