I'll try to get as much info listed below but first the engine and related stuff. 3rd gen charger w/ 400 cu, doug's headers, Flowmaster muff. w/ x-pipe duals, .030 w/ KB 240 slugs,125-135 psi on compression all cylinders, hughes mild cam, hyd lifters, adjustable pushrods, heads most likely milled to raise compression, holley 750 dp, RPM intake, 4-hole 1/2" spacer, msd wires & dizzy w/ 6al, timing set @ 13-16 at idle full at 2850 rpm, medium springs. Now for the good stuff. This is all in degrees, Summit hand held infrared micro meter.

My question, what in the blazes is going on here? Also the engine seams to be missing in a slight manner just can't figure it out where it coming from. Checked firing by a timing light but still no glues.
Any help would greatly appreciated. Thanks, James

I can't help, been too long since I tried to read EGT's with a handheld. But looks "high" on a few holes.
I'm used to reading actual EGT's from probes in the primaries on an Engine Dyno.

How are you adjusting the exhaust valves ? Looks like you got a few dumping/burning raw fuel out the tubes ? That, or really late timing on just a few holes (unlikely).

How are you checking compression ? Ignition disabled, all plugs "out", throttle wired open, 4 bumps only per cyl. Look for the first bump to be 75% of the fourth and final bump ?
Usually indicates Valve hanging open due to Lifter pump up, too much preload ?

Bob out.

I guess its time to dive off into the valve train again. I bet the adjustable pushrods are at the base of this problem. Will post details as these stones are turned over.

Yep, I'd look Valvetrain.

Check Intake for Preload, when "it's" Exhaust is just opening.

Check Exhaust for Preload, when "it's" Intake is almost closed again at the end of it's cycle.
