Here are the photos and info on the 6 Charge I just purchased. I paid $6900 for the Car. What do you guys think? Did I do OK?

1969 Dodge Charger with a 440 cubic inch engine. The Charger runs and drives. However, it does need restoration. With a little time and effort this will be one amazing car! We bought it with the intentions of restoring it but unfortunately we have several others that we also are restoring and haven't found the time to do this one also. The Charger is solid with very little rust, car is in currently in primer and needs small amount of body work to be ready to paint.

great car for your clone project congrats   you work fast

Congrats...Finding a 69 Charger was the easy part. Now you have to find those rare 70 Charger fenders and hood. Don't even get me started on how difficult that nose assembly is going to be. I've seen most daytona clone projects stall out when it came time to assemble and mount the nose on the car.  Hang in there.

My plan is to purchase the metal nose and get the 72-75 Vega rear window plug. I am looking for fenders and a hood now.

Isn't that a 'Bird nose 4 posts up? Don't think it will work on a Charger.   :scratchchin:   :shruggy:

Yup...that's a bird nose. Won't fit on a Charger all that well.
Seems like the last time I priced the premium Daytona parts, it was over ten grand for the nose, headlamp piecess, z-braces, frame brackets and latch tray.

I know someone who built a Daytona clone, with Vega plug, for about $17000, including the 70 Charger to start with. Do most of the work yourself. If your clone costs you $85,000 in the end, you've done something wrong. I'm glad you went with a 69. That way you get the right interior and the rear side markers, an often overlooked detail in 'Clone World'.

Hey Dillon, what is the fender tag color on the car you bought?  If you cant decide on a color maybe that would help you lean one way or the other.  If the car you bought was originally blue, then for no reason at all, keep the Daytona blue. (with a white stripe ;) )

Is this guy a member here?  I just found this one thru google (which is at $732 btw :brickwall: )

You know I actually thought about that when I looked at the car again and noticed the blue paint. I agree, if the car was originally blue, I'll keep it that color with the white stripe and wing.

I should have the car in about 10 days so I will know better then. I have not even seen the body tag.

Ya thats cool.  When i was restoring my 68 i was undecided on color and so i just went with the original color and made it easy on myself.  It didnt hurt either that the original color was PP1 red  :coolgleamA:
