here's something you don't see everyday. this car belongs to a local legend which bought the car new in 1959 and ran it until 1972, which during that time it ran in the low 9's. he has had it in storage all of those years and just got done restoring the car like he ran it and has brought it back out for folks to enjoy. he mentioned there was only a handfull of these cars built.

he also has a 1959 debon that he also ran and it has an injected Hemi in it as well, he told me there was only 2 of them ever built, coarse i don't have any photos of it :'(

unfortunately i don't have any video of it but i will say it sounds down right wicked. the fellow that owns it is in his late 70's and he has alot of great stories to tell about the early years.

sure 69bronzeT5, here's a few photos of it at different stages over the years.

the photos of it with the black bumpers and fenton racing wheels is when i first built the car in 1984 and it had a 440+6 engine in it.

then later i went back with chrome bumpers and factory ralleys and it still had the 440+6 in it.

coarse now it has the chrome bumpers, ralleys and the hemi but i still need to get the bottom of the hood stripped and repainted which i can't seem to ever find the time so it has only been off of the car for about 4 years now. :eyes:

here's a close up of the engine but i changed the valve covers recently to the black wrinkle ones but other then that it's the same.
