A little off Jayhawk topic but the Chefs are about to lose their only defensive threat.  So far rumor has it the Viqueens owner is willing to give 30 million guaranteed for Jared Allen, that's more than Freeney money.  I'm reading a 1st & 3rd round pick in exchange.  IMO, a 1st & 2nd sounds more logical.

It's gonna be a long couple seasons at Arrowhead.  It's just too bad by the time they're any good Tony G. will have retired.

As much and for as long as I've been a Chefs fan, it's great having a defensive player on the team get after the quarterback like JA does.  His swipe before wrapping the quarterback up is DTesque.  But to pay the man the money he wants and expects when he's a DUI away from a year long suspension is ludicrous IMO. 
With the Viqueens already being #1 against the run the past few years, they would have the makings of the best defense in the NFL.

I also heard if they don't make the playoffs this year Hunt Jr. is gonna clean house. Petersen, Edwards and all their staff.. Their not gonna do shit in the next couple years. I have been waiting a long time and am tired of being a disappointed fan for years on end. Kinda like the Royals they get rid of the good player for 2-3 average players. I am surprised they signed Tony G. last year for the long term.

The Academic Progress Rate (APR) came out Tuesday.

Kansas did have some issues. The Jayhawks will loose two football scholarships for the 2008-09 academic year because of lacking classroom performance.
