again   go  MU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

either way,  I am sure this is the game to watch this weekend above all others.  I imagine Vegas is having a heyday on this game.
yes it will be a tight game for sure

MSNBC sports writer has KU by 4, 32-28

Las Vegas line is about 2.5-3 with KU the favorite.

KU may be the favorite but I think the MU offense is stronger and more versitile than KU which negates part of the KU defensive strength and gives Missouri the edge. MU is more 'tested' this year against better teams.

Number two is not the place to be this year and I think that will play out one more time with MU the winner.

Anyone else willing to go out on a limb with thir pick?

You seem to be back and forth on this one aren't you? That is a 27 point spring from one typing to the next one.

I think that MU wins this one. I like the QB play from MU this year. He is a tough one.

the ku by 20 score was for the game two weeks ago , not the MU game
I'm an MU fan but my wife went to KU so i follow the as well . Try not to insight a boarder war in my house but this week it's on .

I can't believe some Missouri fans are making border war shirts showing the "Lawrence Massacre" that shows the city of Lawrence being burned to the ground because of the slavery thing. I can't believe they are doing this. I know it is all in fun and the kids are doing it. I guess some of the parents of the students are pissed and trying to stop it. Here is a story on the real border war and the shirts. -

I wish i was going to the game. I will be there Sunday to see the Chiefs and the Raiders though  :eek2:

That's sad...realy sad that it's come to that. Too bad both teams can't celebrate the great success of the season and enjoy the game instead of dragging up this old stuff.

*whew*

Glad that's over with.  I honestly thought Ol' Mizzou could have given themselves a little more breathing room based on how they played.  Too many drives stalled out though, mostly due to the refs who could see every mistake Mizzou made but felt Kansas played a near-perfect game...   :rotz:

Oh well, it was a good game that lived up to the hype IMHO.

I did chuckle at the hand-made sign someone had at the game that said:

KU Football: A tradition since September

Now, if we can just get past those Sooners for a change...

 Tigers.

I think they impressed a lot of people across the country tonight.

I laughed at that sign too.

Good luck next Saturday.

I wouldn't worry about OU. They don't play well on the road and Mizzou almost beat them at home which never happens. I'm picking Mizzou by 14.  :2thumbs:

I suppose that congratulations are in order for KU being selected to play in the Orange Bowl over MU.  Hopefully you'll understand though why I would add:

GO TECH!!!

As usual, Mizzou got the short end of the stick.  In some respects they only have themselves to blame, but they'd be playing for a National Championship if it wasn't for a meaningless Big 12 "Championship" game.  After twice having a National Championship contending team be knocked out of the title game before they could even get there, d'ya think the Big 12 would come to their senses and eliminate the farce of a title game?  Nah, that'd make too much sense.  Instead, it's better to let the teams knock one another out taking every conference team off of center stage or even to second-tier bowl games.  Oh yeah, that makes a whole lot more sense...

As aluded to earlier in the thread, once again MU got hosed BIG TIME on this deal. :brickwall:

A healthy MU verses VT would be a much better match up than KU/VT.

Actually they hosed themselves. They should have had a better game plan for Oklahoma. If they can't beat Arkansas then.............  And as far as football tradition for for Mizzou - There hasn't been any either, they have only won 9 or more games 4 times in the last 108 years  :eek2:

Who wants a national title seems to be the recurring thought this year.  If you want to see a team lose rate them in the top five.  I feel MU might have got somewhat hosed but I thought this BCS thing put strength of schedule, and where the defeating team is at in the standings when they do take out a top team, etc., etc. into account.  With that I rationalize with their thinking.
I think a few of the other #1 rated teams took a hard fall in the standings after a loss but mostly is was due to a non rated team beating them.  :shruggy:
Regardless it was a good year for Mizzou and KU so congrats to them.  I had to break out my old KU basketball cap.  It got threw across the room a couple times when they played MU.
