It was in the national news yesterday (or was it the day before?). I'm amazed at the sheer number of people who still fall for this stuff - or who don't scan *every* email. Seriously, if the government was coming after you don't you think they'd use the United States Postal Service to send notice?

There is one good think here in my internet service provider. I can activate free of charge scanning of all incoming e-mails. 
In settings you can choose what to do with suspected file. If it is known virus I put DELETE FILE so it can not reach me.  Beside that, I still have virus protection running all the time.

I have an uncle in Louisiana with a real laid back attitude. When I was visiting him once, he ignored the telephone ringing as we sat & talked. I asked him if he was going to answer it, & he said, "No, I got that phone for my convenience, not someone else's." I laughed & decided it wasn't a bad idea. 

If you apply that concept to emails, it'll save you a lot of grief. Unless I know where the email is from, or if I am not expecting one, I delete it without a second thought.
