I am just summing up my engine install into my 1973 small block car and here are some points to note:

- 440 Source deep oilpan will fit into late B without modification.  It gets about 1/4" clearance and required the K frame lowered to install engine - but it fits!!

- TTI 2" headers fit a lowdeck block, but require the RobbMC mini starter.  I also had to remove steering box and linkage to get headers in.  After, power steering is good to go.

- There were no problems associated with a small block car, Pass side inner fender well.  There's still plenty of room to do plug changes etc.

- Plug install with 2" TTI's really sucks  :'(

- Schumacher engine mounts for the Late B are great.  But, they are tricky to install Dvr side bolt with Hi-volume oil pump.

- You can install engine and TKO tranny assembled together into car with engine hoist.  No probs !!!

Sounds like you're having fun Paul !  :icon_smile_big: The 2in tti's are designed for a raised block so it stands to reason that there could be some installation headaches on a lowdeck build unless you were using a raised ex port head casting (Indy SR). It's too bad that they (TTI) only make a 1 3/4in header for the lowdeck.  :P

Keep pluggin dude....waiting on pics  :scope:
