Looks like 69 and 70, it seems tough to find 68 diecast for some reason :shruggy:  Maybe it's just me.  I look at swap meets and such and there seems to be no shortage of 69 and 70. :brickwall:

I was going onto supercar1 when you posted this.      Cheaper than I guessed they would be  :yesnod:   The GMP diecasts are usually more expensive...  got them confused.

Diecastmuscle has a preorder for the black / red stripe for $69 w/ free shipping.  http://www.diecastmuscle.com/store/Makes/Dodge/Charger/29667

Ok...I'll admit it, I'm a nitpicker.

1. The '68 inside door locks are in the wrong position.
2. The '70 has the '68 style Magnums on it (should have trim rings).
3. The '69 has '68 hubcaps
4. The '68 and '70 vinyl roofs have no seams.
5. The '70 front fender turn signals are too short
6. The '68 should have an R/T emblem on the tailight panel, as it does in the grille...
7. The '68 has a '69-'70 dash pad
8. The '69 and likely the '70 have a '68 gas cap

But I suppose we should be grateful, huh?
(Just noticed on the website that some of my critiques are addressed there as well)

I guess the real downside to this issue of diecast is that it means all of my current collection will be junk in comparison.

I looked at the web site and did not see any option of customizing.  They offer a red and a blue 68 with black top stripe and interior,  I am going to call the phone # and see if there are any plans to offer the 68, with white stripe, vynil top, and blue interior or any combo of those.

Boy, you should have seen the lists - plural - of things that Chris (Just 6T9_CHGR) and I sent to them while they were going through the development on this series.  They've come a long way with trying to get the details right, but some details I was finally told they were just not going to try and get correct.  :brickwall:

Oh yes I can attest to that :rotz:

Dont know if anyone realizes but it was Geno's Hemi '69 Charger R/T car that did the modeling for these nice cars you see here.  This has been in the works for more than a year now & it was cool that Geno & I could have some input on the final product...although some of our input fell on deaf ears...no ones fault but big business I guess ....

You know Franklin Mint has had a super detailed 69 model from back about 5 or so years ago.  I think it only came in Yellow.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

I really like how much better they are looking now, especially with the flip up headlights. The only thing I dont like on the 68 is the decal marker lights. Other than that their great

the magnums look kinda funky, Like the '70 though.

Ahem.... problem with a white roof?  :nono:
The white roof symbolizes perfection!!

I had a list of "corrections" when I was initially sent the prototype pics as well. My biggest gripe I see that wasn't corrected on the '70 version is the '68-'69 header panel up front when the hood is opened!  :brickwall: :brickwall: Not to mention the rectangular antenna base.  :brickwall:  Looks like the 68/69 versions don't have that.

All in all, I'd love to get a couple for my collection. They still look nice.  :2thumbs:

Those are probably the nicest examples I've seen in some time. If all the details that were incorrect were to be correct, the cars wouldn't be $69.95 & would probably be at least twice that price. They look a lot nicer than most dicast toys, & the photography makes them look like real cars at a glance. I'd like to have them, but for me, I just won't spend that kind of money on toy cars. It would take away from the parts fund on the real cars.

that would be the Danbury Mint. Light Yellow only. It's not in their current catalog that I just got the other day, it was in the last one though. I bought one when they first came out, it's pretty sweet!
