I'd use HP manifolds before I use shorty headers.  The shorties don't flow any better.  The length of a headers contributes greatly to their efficiency, not just their tube diameter.  You're exhaust valve and port are the real bottlenecks.

im going to end up stroking this motor and running flowtech headers, seem to be a decent choice based on flow and price
