Well after two years, if just tinkering on my 68 I have begun the tear down of my 68. I did install my rebuilt 3:54 dana 60 and new rear springs and shocks. The interior seat are done and in storage. My 18 spline hemi trans in just about finished and the engine is at the builder. I`ll post pics of the trans in a sperate thread. Here are some pics with alot more to follow. Yes, I`m building a bullitt clone like so many others but that car has always been one of my favorites and I`ve watched the movie so many times I`ve lost count. I`d also like to build a dirty mary crazy larry clone some day. Enjoy!

I believe it is some version of a coffee can adapted by Chrysler for use as a vacuum resevoir. I`ve already bead blasted it and I`m going to need a new one. It has about a dozen very small pinholes where the bracket mount to it...Can anyone help?

Great looking car, good luck with the restoration.  The coffee joke was funny though. :smilielol:
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

There is a thread on here concerning the vacuum canister and the restoration thereof.

I looked for it and can`t find it. Got a link?

In the Search field, I entered "vacuum canister" and found a few threads.  Two of them said that www.dayclona.com reproduces it, but the website doesn't come up for me...is it down for good?  I'd like to figure this out too.
