O.K. Trivia experts - anyone know what "font" was used for the charger logo? (I don't, but need the infor for some art work)

Good question about Bill. i was e-mailing him about some stickers... haven't heard from him in 2 or 3 weeks ???

my guess is you propably wont, it's a elongated cursive script propably created by a guy who had earlier designed a door handle about 1964...  ;D
Graphics wern't as standardised then as they are now, lots of things were designed freehand on a drawing board... A quick look at nameplates from the '60s and '70s will show amazing variety of scripts... Riviaras, Monte Carlos and Le Barons (to name a few) logos showed some elaborate characteristics.

There is no "charger font"

Back then, they did not have computers with different fonts to pick from, so they just made a stencil for it. There isn't any name for it that I am aware of, its just enlongated cursive, as stated by strat

I'm here... sorry about the lag time...been working too much, cleaning the garage, down sizing my life, screwed by a GF, lost 25 lbs, spin class 4 times a week, a 12 year old daughter who is a knockout (dammit!) so keeping the boys at bay, got food poisoning from Abalone (sick for a week - slept all the time), fight with my landlord and into court, IRS ragging me....

I have to get WAKKO some graphics FIRST, and Troy shortly after that but I could post the Charger script if someone needs it.

Just when I had it all figured out, life goes and gets in the way... :P

The only "Font" there was in 1968 was the one you baptized your baby in....... and if you asked someone for a Charger-font they would probably ship you off to Russia.....WITHOUT your MP3 player or a diet Coke in a plastic bottle   :P
