Heh...if you want a guitar that does that much stuff, you might as well go buy a synth....

Gimme a Les Paul, a cable, and a Marshall amp and I'll considered myself served....

I been playing a Roland GR-1 guitar synth since '96.
It took me two years just to program the 400 patches.
plus my Johnson Millinium Stereo 250 has another 200 amp models so i'm set for awhile..
I will be checking it out eventually though,..

I'm just saying...changing the tunings with the push of a button is like changing your oil with a credit card. Sure, it's a hassle to hand tune to Open G, but that's the fun of it....

the expression pedel on the Amp's foot switch has a detuner/whammy and the GR-1 has two different Octave pedels...
i used to have to write out scripts for our bands individual songs and set them up on a music stand,.. folks thought i was reading music, but they were filled with numbers for changing effects and amp models..

(As i've mentioned before Adrian Belew was a huge influence in my Music).

Live it was especially a pain in bright sunlight cause all the numbers and LEDs on the displays would wash out so i had to construct special shades,..
Took me a full hour to set up my gear on a special plexiglas table "carpet" backstage and two guys to slide it up to position on stage.
in the dark clubs, I had color coded all the switches with floresent paint, and i had a black light mounted under a Raised Bar (like two upside down Vs with the Blacklight under the cross brace) to illuminate the color codeing cause in the rave clubs with the lasers and spots in your face seeing anything was a absolute nightmare, especially with the lasers. When they cross your field of vision even with sunglasses you effectivly go blind.
