I keep an old plate on any car in the driveway just in case somebody sees the car, because they are not registered yet. I also don't like how an empty license plate spot looks.

if the vehicle is kept on PRIVATE property..which would be YOUR driveway, and not on a public street or road, it doesn't need to be registered. (my sgt's test is on thur!!! ) keep your fingers crossed!!! LOL

That depends on city odinances and nieghborhood organizations,  I know in my town a unregistered car sitting in a yard for more than 30 days is ticketed as a deralick vehicle, and the fine is $85    I know this to be true
