We picked up a 1968, 383 330hp, 4bbl, 4-speed (1 of 259) back when my son was in high school.  He started the resto project his senior year in his auto body shop and finally got back to it this year - 3 years later!  He has some time now and is moving forward on it.  Will be ready to paint this winter - hopefully.  The plan is to go back to stock - due to rarity.  Paint is SS1 - yellow; black vinyl top and black interior.  Some before and after photos - right rear quarter and rear valance; driver's side of car  :o

That's gonna be a great looking car when it's finished!

Does it still have it's original drivetrain?

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Charger Fan,

I've been a little neglectful (lazy).  :-[   Need to get under it and check out all of the #'S.  The rear end is original - 3.23 gears and pretty sure the tranny is.  Need to check the engine #.

I talked to a guy in Seattle who knew the original owner - his friend's dad bought the car new.  It was parked and was sitting on the side of the owner's house until the guy retrieved it from his friend and planned to fix it up, but didn't have the time and then sold it to another guy.  I don't know who might have done engine work on it.  The cam seems to have a little lope in it - so I don't think it is stock.  Next time we have it out, I will check the #'s.
