That is one way to look at it but it didn't happen quite literally.  It was in too long and made so thin that it was fragile and just no longer able to be used.  I think it was buried in his backyard or something like that wasn't it?

moparchris

This 500 is my car.  R.C. Long is the person who bought the car from Bill & Bruce Lear back in 82.  The car was purchased from Mr. Long by Dave Stahavnich(?) in 83.  Dave had the car until 86 when my friend purchased it.  It came back to Az. in 86 and my friend owned it until 2004 when he sold it to me.
It is my gut feeling that the broadcast sheet met its demise at the hands of Mr. Long who redid the seats.  I have not been able to track down Mr. Long to ask him about the broadcast sheet.  Anyone out there know what happened to him?  He was a big time flipper in the 80's.

was the restoration good  was it still in nice condition when you got it ?
GO SELL CRAZY SOMEWHERE ELSE WE ARE ALL STOCKED UP HERE

moparchris

Yes,  the car is still in excellent condition.  My friend only drove the car once or twice a year for all the years he owned it.

Bill and I bought it from Dennis Storm.  We sold it to RC Long in January 1983, when he was in Scottsdale for Barret Jackson.  At the same time, he bought our "hemi" superbird and my brother's Hemi Challenger RT.  He towed the 500 behind the 'bird, and trailered the Challenger.
