Has anyone here ever replaced the steering column pot coupler (69 with power steering) with a Borgeson universal joint?  I looked at their catalog and these pieces really look nice and look like they would do a lot better job than the factory pot coupler.  I assume you would have to cut off the end of the steering shaft and file "flats" on it.  Just curious since I saw one on a 2nd gen charger a few days ago.  Guy did remember that it was from Borgeson but had no idea what part number was used.  He had headers and said the heat from them casued trouble with the rubber parts in his pot coupler.  He said it functioned perfectly.  He was part of a cruise going through the area and I don't think he did much of his own work.

i know a couple people have used a flaming river universal - a search should have a thread with resulting photos

Chatt, i have the Flaming river coupler going on mine.....with headers it is the best choice, inmo.  :Twocents:

Some minor mods to fit it on....drill through the shaft with the supplied drill bit and install the roll pin. No big deal.  ;)

I think I am going to get one of those from Flaming River and replace my pot coupler.  One less component to cause slop in the steering system.  Appreciate the additional info on how to install it.
