Ok, it was prolly my own fault for not telling what kind of shipping I wanted?

But I bought x2 of the "Three Point Retractable Belt - Bucket Seat"
Thats a total of $139.90  ...+ shipping.

And the shipping was $159  !!!!!!! :flame:

...with UPS...and I KNOW that UPS adds even more fees when delivering the last stretch, so everything will prolly land around $189 for just the shipping..

....Oh, I should have told them to NOT send with the most expensive shipping...my bad...
...or how about some common sense?

No wonder one gets poor buying parts for mopars..

I think it is very unfair for you to have a thread naming a vendor and using the words "be careful" in the title and your post has a disclaimer stating that it was most likely your own fault for not being clear when you placed an order.

XV is great. I guess they took the highest costing shipping method to ensure you get your products the way they were sent. Usually you get what you pay for. So you should have actually stated you dont mind paying less for worse shipping (if it does end up worse). I see that as them looking after you to make sure you get your parts in 100% perfect condition.

Change the title please of the post. It is hammering a company that has done more for Mopar then anybody in terms of 'handling'. Mopars used to own the chevies and fords on the  drag strip but never did well against them on a circuit, with XV around, chevy and ford are gonna  start complaining that THEY dont have such good parts.

True that. Topic changed.

But clear or not clear, you as a company should always tell the customer what the shipping is before you charge the card and send the items, thats my  :Twocents:

Yes, but I have ordered items like that before from the states, and standard airmail is alot less.

Right. I initially wondered why the shipping was so expensive - I thought maybe the "fuel surcharge" was getting a bit out of hand. :P Yes, airmail would have saved you a lot.

So, the root of the problem is lack of communication - you weren't in a hurry but they must have assumed otherwise. I worked in mail order for over 10 years and anytime we weren't shipping items the most economical way we made very sure that the customer was aware of what we were doing and what it would cost. It was a pain (and we still had people complain) but it did save us a lot of trouble.

Yes. Ok I messed up by not stating what shipping i wanted, but the vendor did also mess up not telling me the shipping. Period.
The shipping is gonna end up around $189 for those belts and I think no one would like that.

Now on the other hand, the PARTS are surely great and I will prolly nag about how expensive they became....and then shut up if the day comes when the belts save my life or my passengers
(Hope that day never comes)

And the final amount when I got them in hand:  $449       ...they better be worth it...

You know Jonas, most of the time vendors have a shipping company they use, and if not told OTHERWISE, that is what they´re using.  :shruggy:
I have shipped from US a lot, and there are so many ways of doing it, that you could get dizzy of a lot less!!!! The key is to do a little survey yourself, before you start shopping.
After all, we are the ones that are on the other side of the world, not them.
Have done some shopping at XV mself, and can´t wait to get my hands on it!!!
Since we only live once, and all this is not just a dressed rehearsal, but the real thing............ Well, enjoy it!!!!

Easiest is to call / email them, and ask them to send it like that :2thumbs: That would be telling them otherwise :D
That will work!!!!
