Car looks good, but why did they do the rear corners next to valance panel like that?  It looks strange.

I think 68r/t is referring to the rear valance corners. They should be flush with the quarters, here is a couple of pics with original corners.

Hmmm I'm gonna have to take a look at that tomorrow

Ughhhhhhhhh now I'm upset... I guess that's something that will be addressed over the winter, I can't bear to have them tear it apart at this point.... Would any of you guys do that at this point????

I would fix it now while it is in the body shop,  since you now know about it each time you look at the car your eyes will go straight to the problem area and it will drive crazy.

There was another car done like  that on this board that the owner never realised till it was pointed out and it was a major rebuild big dollar car.

You/They have to make it right.  It will not look right(cause it isn't)at all and it will not be hidden by anything.

Car color is very nice..

I think the problem is with the aftermarket valance corners not fitting correctly. The bodyman should have noticed it was not lining up correctly? maybe he hoped that you would not notice. I agree with posted above, fix it now.

I think you're right about the valence not fitting properly... it was a Goodmark rear valence.. every other peice of metal was from AMD... we may have to order a valence from AMD... at this point I'm not sure what to do (((exasperated)))

The valance is not the problem . Its the corners that take some finnesse to fit.

Agreed, its the corners that aren't up to par yet. Took a lot of fabrication on mine. :Twocents:

Holy smokes, I just looked at the pics finally and realized how wrong they did the corners .  It looks like they just formed things the way they thought it was supposed to be instead of how they ARE supposed to be.  You should get this fixed and out of the way now while it's in the shop.  They need to make this right for you.   :Twocents:

How the heck did they mess that up? Looks like the welded it behind the quarters in that spot.

It's too bad an eagle eyed member didn't see it then.  :-\  It's a shame, the person had to cut down the length of the valance.  I know repro. stuff isn't always correct but it's not often a piece is too long.

Beautiful car regardless.  :2thumbs:

It will be fixed... I've pointed that out to the shop owner and manager... and it will be addressed... In the meantime I'm now frustrated in finding rims and tires for the car...
