Anthony,
That is getting pretty close to you. Time to go.
My thoughts go out to yours and all the families in the area.
Get what you need and get the hell out of there.
Let's hope those winds diminish quickly.
Those Fire/Police/Rescue teams are doing some pretty crazy things trying to control what they can out there.  Talk about selfless.
Good luck.

I hate fires!! This summer we had disaster, sudden increase in wind speed and a group of firefighters were trapped, 5 dead immediately, 6 more later due to heavy burns, only 1 survived. Still nobody told him about his friends. Sad story and although I didn't know these guys, my eyes were full of tears. :'(

I hope everything will be OK with you and a family. Stay safe.

I live in Glendale CA.  About 10- 15 mins NE of LA.

You can park your car here for a bit if you want.

I have a small place where it will fit. Not covered..... but its also not on fire.

818-241-2511  Thats my home phone as my cell isnt working because of this mess.

DukesofHoward

Hey 2Gunz, do you know a guy name Dave Cloutman?

2Gunz

DukesofHoward

It was a long shot question. I was stationed at Fort Ord with him back in the day and spent several weekends partying at his place in Glendale. Pretty good guitar player.

Well, update on us is....We evacted out of our area to Hubby's parent's house (in Eastlake/Otay Lakes area) last night.  Got evacted out of their house this morning and went to the Navy base on Coronado.  We returned to our house (and in-laws to their's) this evening.  Winds dying down, and changing direction, so We are relatively Safe.....as long as it doesn't change again!

Thanks all for your prayers and words of encouragement.

More help is on the way. We followed three fire trucks & crews from Snohomish Co, Wa down the I-5 from Renton to Tacoma this afternoon. They are heading to SoCal.

I understand there are more packing up to head down there as well. So hang in there.
