Haha, look what fell out of my rotten quarter panel today. It looks to me like one of the marking pencils that they used at the factory. If so, cool! Did they look like this? It's old and crusty but you can make out the shape and under the crustiness is white. . .and the writing looks like it. . .

That's better than the old HONEY BUN package I found in the last headliner I pulled.....  ;)

Put it on Ebay. Some guy with a Trailer Queen '71 Hemi Cuda will probably give you $1,200 for it. :2thumbs:

It looks like the same type of marker we use at work to ID tires. I doubt the design has changed much in 40 years.

That's what I was thinking too. Who knows though, it's definitely possible they used the same ones at the factory. :yesnod:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Thanks guys. I think I'm going to see if I can sand off the Arizona desert outside and get it back down to a pure white again.  :scratchchin:

Holy crapolee, Steve's back! Where have ya been, buddy?

*EDIT* Scratch that, I read your "I'm back" thread. Fishin' huh? Is it true that time spent fishing can't be deducted from a man's life?
Do ya still feel as young as this time last year? ;D

Sorry for the hijack, TO. :)

MOPARHOUND!

If you look close, you'll see the wore out, gunked up seam sealer brush left behind by a factory worker in the silver 69 GTX.  The painter didn't take the time to remove it either, painted it silver.  :slap:

Wish all my cars had solid original floors like this one.  :2thumbs:

Here's a closeup.

(There was also a small assortment of screws and clips under the original carpet.)

Moparhound, that's way cool!

Oops! I've already cleaned up the marking pencil. Ah well, it's definitely not too cleaned up. I think I might be able to get $2.50 for it now!  ;)
