i agree...it is one of the better ones they have sent out of there...
Daddy ran whiskey in a big black dodge
bought it at an auction at the masons lodge,
Johnson County Sherriff painted on the side,
just shot a coat of primer then he looked inside,
well him and my uncle tore that engine down,
I still remember that rumblin' sound.....

Funny thing is, if some guy showed up on this site saying he bought that car, he would get nothing but compliments. Now that it's been touched by Hlpag, the nit pickers have no problem pointing out what they don't like. Only on dc.com . I've seen cars owned by members alot worse looking than that, but they get nothing but praise.  :Twocents:

Ha ha chuckle chuckle ha ha.  We know who built this one and I can bet that the last two pics are fake and the customer will find out when they receive the car, in the dead of night

Oh yes they do...and they need to burn in hell for it. :flame:

Looks to me like the map pockets are just strips of straight vinyl stapled to the door panel. :scope: Quality. :eek2:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

:iagree:

I will say it again, why don't we just make a law that say all 2nd gen Chargers need to be cloned into a General Lee because we really need them...........................NOT! :icon_smile_dissapprove: :rotz: ::)

Hi,

remember seeing the green 69 on ebay for 11,5k in Texas.
Real nice project.
I would have driven it in its old paint. But I am mad sometimes.

I feel sorry for the car (as I am not into GLs)

Carsten

Looks good from afar but far from good.

I have a few comments on this car that are not necessarily directed at HLPAG but GL clones in general. First off, is it me or has the number of GL clones seem to have surpassed the number of black 2nd gen Chargers combined? I'm starting to think their numbers should be regulated. Second, the tan interiors I've seen in most restored lately look like the sort of tan you might get in Northern Alaska during winter, aka, "flesh tone" if you're a white guy. I'm not going to point fingers or name names but I think many of the alleged tan interiors now days look horrible, like a can of peach or cream spray paint got too hot and exploded in the front seat.

Isn't the dash plastic supposed to be woodgrain or black anyway? I don't recall ever seeing dash bezels in tan until now.

That's another good project car wasted....

It could have made one of the "die hard restorers" out there very happy,  and i think it's sad to see those cars getting wasted as we all know they're getting rarer and rarer every year....

NOS is nice, turbo's are neat, but when it comes to Mopars, there's no need to cheat...

I don't think you'd get a grand for that worn out console seeing as how you can get an entirely new setup for about $1,200.

69-70 Charger 4 Speed Console Plate Kit: $765 (PG Classic)
1966-70 Charger Roadrunner 4 Speed Console Light Wire: $69 (PG Classic)

1967-70 B-body 4 Speed console body: $245 (Tony's)
