Can someone educate me on Daytona headlight door adjustments ?

I see the cam is adjustable fore and aft, and I know the up and down stops are adjustable, but is there

another place for adjustment that I'm missing ?

I see a lot of these cars with their headlight doors all out of whack  :silly:

I'm about to start fabricating my headlight buckets and if there's some additional adjustments I can

include to improve on Creative's original design I'm open to suggestions.

I'm thinking the cams need to be adjustable fore and aft AND up and down ? :shruggy:

Any long time owners of these cars ever said anything like:  Man! I wish I could just move the headlight

door like "this"    :shruggy:

The original doors do tend to warp over time hard to get them perfect.Make sure the pivot bushings are good. And loosen pivot end caps to adjust .

I had the same dilemma 2 years ago , I made my own pivots that can adjust fore and aft , up and down . Basically my pivot once in desired location , I twist it , locking it in location .

That's a good idea, Larry. I might just have to copy that  :scope:

The stock pieces shown in picture only allow you to adjust by the given slots.Ive had to rotate the cap to different positions. to find best results

Headlight doors can be real,,,FUN,,  I had to enlarge the slots on mine, I used a rattail file that was  just the righ size.  Only took us 3 days to get them where we wanted them.
You probably will say,   ( OH FIDDLE FATLE ) before you get done.

Same here when I did mine....was very tedious & took a lot of fine tuning.....but I got the gap almost perfectly the same all the way around the headlight bucket.
