Going to look at 69 Charger tonight, Dark Green, black vinyl top ,383, original 6 cylinder. Guy says it is very clean, never rusty, rallye wheels. Wants $12,000. What do you all think?  This guy is Ferrari restorer and moving back to London, I think car is going to be nice.

PS funny was calling him on referal of a friend to try and help in shipping the Coronet RT from Alabama, he tells my friend at the end, hey I need to get rid of my 69 Charger, not knowing I was a Mopar guy!

It was pretty nice, very solid car, underneath perfect (they put it up on a lift), coded for original 6 cyl, 3 speed manual, I think I remember hearing this was very rare Charger?? Anyone know?

Real nice body dark metalic green (not a Mopar factory color), some bubbles starting on low quarters, trunk perfect, , new black top (nice job), seats redone, has new carpet kit, new arm pads. 383 ran nice, new exhaust, brand new Ralleys (the all chrome not beaty rings) with new tires, nice meaty size like I want for mine. Can get for $12,000. Also has a 72 Challenger matching # 318, just out of body shop with plum crazy paint, needs interior finished. Said I can get both for $20,000. Guy is moving back to London, reputable guy my friends know him. Oh had a 68 grill I think or the middle piece was missing.

Did you get any pictures of the cars??

calchargerRT

no did not have a camera, did not see the Challenger , it is at a body shop in other town, might go tomorrow. The Charger is a real nice solid driver right now, needs some cosmetics but not bad. Can't wait to see the Plum Crazy Challenger, might want to do the interior and drop a hemi in it!

Take a camera with you.  Post when you get back.  Those sound like some fun cars.

Yep, that is a fairly rare car. Not extremely sought after, but rare non the less. I'd say it's worth the $12k, especially if it's as clean as you say. Good luck  !

not sure when I will see it again but will bring camera, I want to try and see the challenger tonight it is at a different location.

If he's asking $12,000, I would offer $10,000. If he balks at that ask him to meet you half way at $11,000.
