Saw 3 rides within a mile of my house today.

This morning I loaded up the trailer and went to an auction trying to buy a truck for a buddy. I came home with an empty trailer. Some people are just plain stupid when it comes to auctions. They get bid happy as if it comes with the ticket to the Playboy Mansion..   Anyway, on my way home I saw a 70' Charger on a rollback wrecker. Looked like it was on it's way to the resto shop.  A half a mile later I saw a 70' drop top Road Runner. Plate said 440-6PK. Then while waiting for the light a 58-60'ish Imperial pro street ride goes by right in front of me.. I have never seen any of these cars around town before.. Matter of fact I think I have seen the drop top before at a car show. Not sure it was the same one..

So that was my big day.. I'm wondering if CARRNUT knows of the 70' Charger. It was in his neighborhood... You just don't know how happy I am to see mopars in the hood... There are not many.

bull

Mopars rule the road (even when they're being towed). :2thumbs:

BTW, Steve, this should have been added to my 'When is the last time you saw a 66-74 Charger "in the wild?"' thread. :nono:

I was on the pad trying to buy an 02' Dakota 4x4. It was in auction and the guy that bought it went WAY higher than it was worth..  With the mileage and damage it was worth 3-4K. 4K if you could do much of the work yourself... After the auction the new owner asked me if I knew a good body shop.. He WILL be upside down if he has more than the fender painted....    :shruggy:  The same truck could be bought off a lot for a few grand more than he paid and it would need nothing....

People get bid crazy at auctions....  I think they get offended if someone else bids and they feel they have to out bid them at alllllllmost any cost..  ::)

Now watch what you say or they'll be calling you a radical,
      a liberal, oh fanatical, criminal.
Won't you sign up your name, we'd like to feel you're
acceptable, respectable, oh presentable, a vegetable!

Yep! it becomes personal, you start trying to win the contest.  Getting a good deal is not even in the mind at that time. :brickwall: I have been there :RantExplode:
