Now that I can actually drive my satellite I'm ready to get the engine dialed in. How can you figure out exactly where the initial timing should be set? I have out to about 20-22 and I bet the total timing is around 40-45...which is not good. Although I have not checked. I'm hoping to get the distributor re curved. Can anyone give me a check list of other things to go through? I'm running an edelbrock so I'll need to see if I should change step up springs, metering rods and jets, which I already know how to do.

Use the new MP distributor with adjustable stops and curve it yourself.  :2thumbs:

I've got the MP distributor. Lost the manual so I'm not sure how to limit the mech advance on my own...anyone know how off the top of their head?
