Found this in my phone today, kinda cool Muscle cars shot.  Both our cars are Hugger orange.  Yes, my Mopar was painted GM's Huggar orange instead of Hemi Orange.  What were they thinking?

I like thes style of pictures. If you convert them to black & white tone, no one would be able to see if it was taken last week or 40 years ago....

A friend I haven't seen in over 20 years stopped by my house in his 1961 Desoto.  All original except for the paint.  38,000 miles.  Like driving on air.

Bright sunny day today.  I drove all day and got a 100  .  I love this car.  It runs so so good.  It took a ton of work, but it's really an awesome classic.

Thanks.  I can't get enough of that car.  The style and color ( and rumble ) just drives me crazy.

Thanks, yeah it really is looking good.  It's been trouble free for 2 years and I drive it a lot. As for the ding my loving son put in, no.  but it's so small you wouldn't see it if you were just  at the car.  And my thought is it ain't going no where ( unfortunately ), I can have it done anytime.

So check this out.  I'm on the highway going about 60 mph when a State Cop puts a   out his window as he's doing radar.  Since I was just cruising around anyway I decided to get off the next exit and swing back around and show him the car.  Come to find out not only is he the cop that pulled me over last year to view the car while directing parade traffic but to my surprise his last name is my moms maiden name.  We started talking and he went to my high school and grew up with my friends and cousins.  It was cool to meet someone new because they went out of their way to see your car and then find out you are related.  Very nice guy and a cool way to start my day.  He gives a good name to Ct state police.

Yeah knowing a State cop don't hurt but I drive like an old man anyway.  He got a sticker shock lesson when I told him what I have in the car$$.

Really enjoyed reading this thread. You have a beautiful Charger and I hope you enjoy it. The pictures were great and I've saved a few for my Mopar collection. Not sure where you are in Connecticut but some of the scenery looked familiar. I used to travel to Bridgewater, Ct. a few times per year on business. Beautiful country up there.

Thanks, yeah I thought I was buying a turn key car and ended up with lots of surprises. Overall putting the stress behind me it was kinda fun but I must admit I'm proud of the work I've done and truly enjoy just driving the car for pleasure.  2 years with no problems so far.   Of everything I've done, removing the painted stripe and applying the correct tape stripe, and replacing the rear main seal on my back in the garage are my favorite achievements.

I'm thinking 2 to 3 k a year?  I use it a lot but I drive small amounts.  Did a cruise last night about 30 min away and going to Dunkin Donuts right now. I always say the same thing, can't take it with you and you only have one life.  I'm enjoying it.

Long time no post for me.  Well, I fired up this baby on this freezing day to run the car over my friends house.  He's gonna paint the entire trunk area and detail what needs to be detailed.  Now If I ever have a need to sell the car it's basically restored, fully ( above frame  ).
