That's what I'm talking about. You're a perfect example by owning yours so long. A work of art it is.

Went to a first time small cruise night.  There were quite a few Mopars there.  When I was getting on the highway this mint 69 GTX pulled on also so we followed each other there.  Enjoy the pics.

Some of you have seen some of my fixings of my Charger since I got it 3 years ago.  The one I am proudest of is the removing of the gloss painted rear stripe and the placement of the correct R/T tape stripe.  How the heck I did that still amazes me, and I'm the one that did it.
There was one other big item that bugged me everytime I drove the car.  The driver side rear 1/4 did not match up on top flat with the door?  I was told when I bought the car it had all the original steel but it looked like and others told me the rear was replaced.  I looked at the inside of the rear quarter through the trunk and to me it looked original? But why was the top of the 1/4 so off from the door?  At a car show a guy said out loud " Who the heck replaced your rear quarter !?"  I was pissed that it looked that way and I was lied to that it was all original steel, plus this jack ass saying that out loud at a cruise night.  I just said it will stay the way it is I'm not replacing the 1/4.
Well the other day I was pointing it out to a friend saying how this bugged me as I can see it in my mirror all the time as a reminder of a poor job and panel replacement but I don't know how to fix it?  As I was showing him I noticed how the door lines matched?  But the top and sides of the outer skin overhang and maybe, just maybe the skin is bent down?  Holy crap!  It was.  I took a rubber hammer ( tapped the lip upwards ) and straightened it out almost 100% perfect.
This off set of panels bugged me so much, I can't believe I was able to find a remedy?
Check out the before and after.

:2thumbs:  Thanks, so nice to look in the mirror and see the nice alignment.

You were a brave man to do that! I'd be worried about cracking the paint.  Good job, and big balls. :D

Your definitley right about the '68-'70 Charger lines being the best.....I've had my Charger for almost 12 years now and I never get tired of the lines! :2thumbs:
