Well, after working on my car late last night and early this morning I am proud to say she is back on the road and running sweet as ever.  The new (Nov 68 ) 440/375hp engine kicks butt.  Rumbles on an idle and spins the sure trac with ease.  YEEE  HHAAAAAA!!!   Took several cruises with it and felt like a million bucks.  After all this work and all the money....   It was almost worth it.  Thanks to everyone for their help, Chris, Brian, Ron and all the others.   I have a ton of corrections and detailing to do, but here are the now pictures and I must say it's a thrill to finally take a front end shot now that the flat black grille mess is gone.   These pictures do not do the beauty of the machine justice at all, but hey it's all I got for now.

:boogie: :boogie: :boogie: :drive:   Oh yea!!

This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

Hey where are the rest of the lines for the A/C unit? Just curious, or are you not going to hook it up?

Also side note here, but man you really need to put some fertilizer down in that yard of yours. Man that grass needs some help.

sorry but had to say it. Just ask my wife, the yard and the garage and cars are my things. I'm picky on those things, now if the rest of the house is decorated however I could care less. But I like my things. :)

The lines are part of my " lots of things to detail" comment.  I have a friend up the road we talked about before that says he has all that stuff.  This year I'll install it, next year actually try to make it work.  As for the lawn.  I have 30 trees in the front yard that won't let enough sun in,so thats that reason.

WOW!! You should be very proud.  That car screams what a Charger should look like when done right.  Nice work.

Thanks everyone!  About that exhaust.  I went with the louder more flow thru mufflers.  I got to say there is a bit of a resonating loud hummm around 40mph.  Everywhere else they are awesome, but at that speed they get a little annoying.

Really?  what size tailpipes did you get?  I have no drone at any speed with mine :scratchchin:  Maybe because I have a full 2.5" diameter to the tips?

I dunno?  Stock 2 1/2"?   But I went with these " little bit louder mufflers".

http://www.accurateltd.com/6869440ET.htm  Looks like the pipes are 2 1/4, maybe thats why?  Not a biggie.

Had fun with the video thing, here's a better shot and smoother flow rev sound.  Notice the tail lamps are all 1157 bulbs?  Not correct?  Oh well.

1969chargerrtse

Just got it up and running and after last nights 1/2 hour drive and back I have lots of small things to do before I do any tire spinning.  Example would be when I hit the 4 bbl for the first time the motor lifted ( I think ) and the fan hit inside the shroud.  Wheel alignment stuff, tuning, etc...  Then I would like to do a short video showing me and saying hi to all my forum friends, scan the motor, fire her up, short burst.  I would like to start a thread where we all send small clips of us and our cars, I thought that would be kinda cool.  :yesnod:
