Well we walked out today at 11:00 today.took darn near 15 min just to get out of the lot.(kokomo transmission,IN)
I got signed up for strike duty the other day.I know there is others don't have good views of the union, but I am proud of being one.We are getting great support from drivers going by honking thier horns.I hope they get things ironed out in contract talks.
well have a great day guys

Strikes are never good but sometimes it has to be done. Its against the law to strike on the railroad so nothing ever gets taken care of on the railroad. We are going on 3 years with no contract. Railroads do what they want to do and our union boss's talk a lot of tough and collect their big fat pay checks and kickbacks and thats it.

You auto workers are in a serious situation. I dont know anything other then what I hear  it sounds like both sides need to work things out and give a little to stay afloat.  Good luck!

My wife is a Union member but her union is useless.  I only wish they would strike for a better contract.  She is an LPN at a nursing home and man the crap she has to put up with...

My dad was union in the Iron Mines in northern Minnesota and his union was strong from what I can remember.

Wow. That was quick. I thought you guys had to vote before going back after you walked.

Thats cool though. This is what I read-

A person with knowledge of the Chrysler LLC agreement said it includes some guarantees that vehicles will be produced at U.S. factories, a company-funded union-run trust that will pay much of Chrysler's $18 billion in long-term retiree health care costs, and a lower wage scale for some newly hired workers.

Don't see anything wrong with any of that.  :yesnod:

I was in Anchorage Dodge when I heard the news. The parts guy said, hold on, I can't order your parts till ? not sure when. Some time later next week maybe, he hoped. I said, cause of the strike, that sucks. He said, hey, maybe we can go there and be scab labor workers, hahaha. Guess I can go back tomorrow and hopefully order my parts now I need from Mopar Performance.

Hey, you can hate the game but don't hate the player.
