Miller is joining forces with Coors.... that is just wrong.

What is going on?

Cats Sleeping with Dogs?

is the world coming to an end? this is just not natural.

they say its in a effort to out sell Budweiser... Ok I can agree with
that. i'll drink a Coors before a Bud... but really... that is just
wrong.

If Chrysler and Ford merge to out sell GM i might have to leave the
country...

There was a club in Cherry Hill, NJ called The Iguana.  They had 5 cent draft night on Tuesday's.  It was Pabst Blue Ribbon and let me tell you it was rough going down and rougher going out.

I think this Miller Coors thing will make more people drink Bud

Miller has been on a downslide for years and losing market share since the 70's. They lost the Lite market and never recovered with their other brands. Consolation has been the key to survival for years in the beer making industries.

If your idea of a good beer is Miller, Bud, Coors, or any one of the other highly advertised Just Gotta Have It TV beers... then it's already to late, just shoot yourself...  :slap:

Don't know anything about this til tomorrow til I talk to the Beer Reps. It wouldn't surprise me since Bud bought Rolling Rock. And Coors bought Molson.  :scratchchin:

Pabst Blue Ribbon... when it comes to cheap lite beers, Pabst is the exception to the rule... it's always been a good all around beer. Lite duty, but still a good beer none-the-less... I like it when I'm doing stuff around the house or around the yard. You can drink that stuff all day.

Is that the one that's supposed to taste like michelada? I had one at the Whisky a few weeks ago (it was the cheapest one they had). It was ok...but I wasn't too impressed. The lime-y taste didn't really do it for me.

I would rather have an amber beer, or even a dark beer that has flavor. The only inexpensive beer that I don't mind drinking is Miller High Life & I don't know why. You can keep all the other ones they make, like "Ice" or "Lite" or "Genuine Draft" & whatever other name they can dream up.   :eek2:

I like Bud Select too. Corona tastes like piss water, IMHO (and this is coming form a messcan). If I have to drink Mexican beer, I usually go with Tecate, Modelo, or XX.

Keystone Light is Coors Light ;) the only thing that is different is the lining of the can.  Seems like Miller and Coors are merging because Bud and all the products they own equal 49% of all beer sales. Miller & Coors merging together will make up 51%. This merger is gonna happen around Dec. By the way Coors and their products make up for 29% of the sales right now. Miller has been slowly losing sales for quite awhile.

I never liked Bud. When Budlight came out I switched from Miller High Life......then out came Miller High Life Light so I made the switch back to Miller. The Miller Chill is ok but is pricey. If I want to spend more or get tired of light beer I prefer Boulevard. It is out of KC so most places don't get it. I don't care for Rocky Mountain Goat Piss AKA Coors - :flush:.........

I drank miller lite for about the last 10 years. When im up in Montreal I was drinking labatt blue dry but the last few times ive been really hurting myself with them so I stick to the low octane stuff down here. About a year ago I stopped in to pick up my 24oz road warrior on the way home from work and they had no miller light so I picked up a bud light and it was pretty good. Been drinking it since. Never much cared for Coors beer.

The Coors/Molson thing was supposedly an equal merger - though I don't know all the sorted details except initially Molson CEO was to head the whole thing and Coors guy was to head Molson with joint head offices in Denver and Montreal. http://www.molsoncoors.com/index.html  :shruggy:

I would have some very ill feelings if that were to happen.. (((((((( BUT )))))))) I wish Dodge would take a lesson from Ford on their comfort level in their trucks...  My Supercrew is extremely comfortable. I wanted to buy a Dodge and looked for a long time, but I could not find the right truck WITH comfortable seating..

Trucks were originally designed to withstand punishment while performing heavy work, not to comfort your a**  :nana:

Hence the problem of todays trucks being more like cars than actual trucks... Yuppies want their truck that they never use except for ego trips to ride more like their BMW.

My friend just bought a new Ford 1/2 ton. The seat is firm like a brick. I drove it a couple weeks ago and I think my Dodge feels more comfortible to me. It was a base truck with cloth. Maybe a more expensive truck would be more comfy?

Sorry for the detour...  I like most beers. After the fourth or fifth one you could be drinking camel piss and not give a crap... Well, I guess maybe you would have to drink rather fast.....  ;)

I can't say I totally agree with that. Yes, many trucks on the road are more car than truck. BUT,,, I am talking about 1/2 - 1 ton trucks. These ARE considered (light duty trucks). What I don't agree with is that the light duty trucks I mentioned here come in many packages. A strip model or WORK TRUCK, (commercial use), normally has a cheap interior and lousy seating. Your buddy may have a cheaper packaged truck. What I am comparing is Fords 2nd from the top interior with DODGES TOP OF THE LINE interior. My F-250 Super crew Lariat IS super comfortable. The King Ranch is the top Ford.  I drove the owner of a Tarpon Dodge's personal truck. It was top of the line with all the bells and whistles including power opening top and all windows including the rear and a nav. system. Dually/diesel... The truck had a good ride, but the seats were rock hard and not soft to the touch either.. That truck had about 20K on it when I drove it. My truck had 32K when I bought it and now at 66K still rides nice and the seating is great..

I am comparing apples with apples.  Hell, I used to have a 4 wheel drive, 3/4 ton Suburban that had almost as nice a ride. My Avalanche had a very high center of gravity and it had a much better ride than any of the Dodges I have driven....

I used to work on Ford LN-9000's.  Good size tractor. They had better seating with near 1 million miles on them than the Dodge......

There is no excuse for not being comfortable these days.. Since I have a pretty bad back I notice a buck board right away. This is the ONLY reason I don't drive a Dodge truck... The only reason..................

Like I said, I have driven them all and owned a bunch. By far ford has the comfort. And the quiet...  If the Dodge dealer would put my seating into a Dodge truck I would own one... It would of course be a diesel. I DO like the seating in the BACK of a Mega Cab... It's very roomy and comfortable.. Same truck, the front seat sucked.....   :shruggy:
