metal cleaning and primer

After I get my car back from blasting Is there any do"s and don't"s when using DX520 and DX579 that the instructions don't cover. I have the time to do it right but not the money to have it done. And at my request I will be getting the car back a little at a time like fenders, doors, K frame and so on. I hope by the time I get the body back, I will known what I'm doing. I will be using DP50LF epoxy primer and seal it by adding DTV reducer. I will be using an Ingersoll Rand 270 HVLP 1.5 mm nozzle gun with a air supply of 6.25peak hp 28 gls. tank 7.4cfm@40psi. and 6.1cfm@90psi. with a air filter and small in line air dryer.   Is this ok?
