BTW forgett Bullit and Dirty Mary Crazy Larry. they show just cars running what is great but is not a hot chase itself.

Another cool chase scene is from the movie Speedtrap. One of the main cars in it is a red & white 71 Charger. Theres also a few more 3rd Gen. Chargers in it plus a Duster. If you go to youtube, you can find it split up into 3 parts.

4-Ronin, was another great chase scene not well known...verry underrated!!!

Because this chase is done with high-end luxury road cars (that actually handle the road) it's often dismissed, but the actual chase is right there amid the biggies.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

How about Romancing the Stone. I like the scene where Michael Douglas, Kathleen Turner and the Columbian guy are being chased. They are in a Ford Bronco (not positive it was a Bronco) and the Columbian guy is giving narration to them and pointing out things like the tree that his father planted and favorite pig, etc. all while being chased.
A Fact of Life: After Monday and Tuesday even the calendar says WTF.........

I don't mean it was a great chase scene movie, just that it was a lesser known one.

What about the Italian Job?

I thought about that one too, but the original.  :2thumbs:

I loved how they drove the cars right up the ramps & into the moving truck to hide them. I'm not a fan of any car chase that looks more like a cartoon, it has to be "REAL" without computer animation, without launching ramps behind parked cars, & without massive explosions as if they had 5000 gallons of gas in them.

How about one I didn't see mentioned. "Live & Die In L.A." for a good highway chase?

Nowhere near the best, but The Transporter had a fun chase scene ('cept for that silliness about launching off an overpass onto a car hauler...from dead stop no less!?)

Lowprofile

I was gonna say "Live and Die in L.A." too. Love that movie.  Here's another good one......... :drive: :2thumbs: :D

This was a pretty silly movie, but the car was cool.  :2thumbs:

As the whole movie goes, Ronin is one of the coolest movies I've seen in a long time.  :yesnod:

I just remembered this one & haven't seen it in years. "White Lightning" with Burt Reynolds. My Dad took me to see it in the movie theater when I was a kid. Not as good as some of the others, but still fun to watch. I think I know where they got the ideas for the Duke's chases on dirt roads.
