1970 challenger T/A and AAR 'cuda wreck

OK,  I know this is a charger site. But,  I heard a story a few years back. I was just wondering if any of you have heard it or if you know if its true or not. As the story goes, In 1970 there was a train hauling brand new Challengers and Cudas, Supposedly most of them T/A's and AAR's. The train derailed and dumped a few train cars over. I have heard that it happend in the north east. The guy I heard it from saw a pic at a dodge dealer along time ago and the sales man told him the story. He said in the picture you could see T/A stripes on the challengers.   I was just wondering if this is a urban legend or if there are some facts.   My guess is that it was a train carrying four door darts and stuff.   What do you all think??

I have not heard of it before? If anyone has a copy of that photo I would LOVE to see it though.

I went threw some of my old books to try and find out who told me the story,  No luck.  But I think it was a guy from West Virginia.  John or Jim or Joe. I know it was a J name.

True Story, but the model year was 1969. My dad worked for an auto transporter that was sent to Syracuse/Utica NY area to get the cars that ran. He brought them back to the train terminal about 2 miles from where we lived. I wasn't old enough to drive, but he took me and my older brother to the lot. We were able to drive these cars around the lot until we ran out if gas!!
I also took the drivers side headlite door off a flattened 69 Charger R/T and hung on my bedroom wall.

Rumor has it that a Hemi car in the wreck was donated to a local auto tech school.

so they werent AARs or T/As....they were actually 69 Charger RT's?

It was a train load of Chrysler products. My bother drove a '69 Barracuda. There were trucks too.

Update,
My dad (87 years young) remembers the derailment to be in Corfu NY. He picked up 2 truck loads of running cars.
