My dad and I just need to put on the last coat of paint tonight and then we're gonna put on the vinyl tomorrow. After reading the paint job on a budget thread on moparts and numerous other articles we decided to try the roller method and after only two coats its starting to look really good. I broke my wrist last night at our second to last football game so its a little bit harder working on the car. I've got a splint on for now until the swelling has gone down and then they can cast it on monday. its nice having a mom thats a nurse, she can diagnose things without having to wait in urgent care for hours. heres a pic.

Not to be a party-pooper but shouldn't you let the paint dry longer?

The paint is supposed to cure overnight. I'm gonna check it out and see if it still smells.

Ah! The old sniff test. Sounds like a professional operation. :smilielol:

By the way, how did you break your wrist?

Harlow

On a tackle I had my palm on the ground at my wrist at an angle and it got landed on by my own team.

I had my vinyl roof installed a couple of months ago and the guy who installed it (25 years in the business) did not want the roof painted, just primed and a good sealer. He said the glue would make the paint blister and screw up the vinyl roof in no time. :shruggy:
