i have a 1968 charger i need new brake lens's on all 4 and the chrome is worn off on the frames of the lights would it be easier buying new lens's and sending the frames to get rechromed or just buy new or good condition whole tail light assembly

bull

There are many directions you can go. The lenses themselves are not too high-priced and the main housing and bezels are now being reproduced (see Ebay links below) so you have more options now. Some people opt for rechroming and that's an option if the metal isn't too pitted up (if they have to weld pits the price goes up). If easy is your goal and your wallet is fat then I would buy reproduction stuff. If you don't want to spend a lot of money then some chrome shops can redo your housings for $100 each unless they have to make repairs. In my case I'm probably going to have my housings rechromed and then possibly buy a set of bezels.
