318 build? or What cam should I choose?

ok, in a few more weeks my Charger will go into hibernation and I'm pulling the 318.
This is what I have...
318 .030 over, unknown compression
stock heads "2658920"
Edelbrock Performer Intake
Edelbrock 600 carb
CompCams 260H (260/440)
Flowtech headers 1 1/2"
2 1/2" dual exhaust
stock unbuilt A904 trans
3.55 sure grip rear
The car runs great and pulls hard in the top end but really suffers from no low end torque.
The trans is going to a friend of mine that builds them.
I want to keep these heads and not stick huge money in this motor right now because I'd rather build a big block later.
Here's my questions...
What cam should I build around?
What stall should I get for the trans?
What can I do to get max. low end torque?
What kind of H.P. is this capable of?

I think the cam you have now is fine.

For a little more bottom end you could install an exhaust crossover pipe and the low gear set in the transmission while it's out.

It's not a midlife crisis, it's my second adolescence.

:iagree: I would also degree it in and run it 6* advanced for more bottom end power.  ;)
