Who Sells Steering Boxes?

Does anybody know where I can buy a new steering box at? We rebuilt our other one, but I guess there was a small crack in it that we overlooked during the process. I've talked to several places but they were sold out and had no idea when they would get more in. They were only $108 whereas YearOne is something like $277. I really don't want to pay nearly three times as much for one if I can find it somewhere else. By the way, it is for a 69 charger with power steering.

I tried all the parts stores (NAPA, O'Reilly's, Autozone, etc.) and nobody had any in their warehouses.

I have 2 firm feel stage III boxes and they are AWESOME! Get that with the fast ratio pitman arm and the steering on your Charger will be transformed.

i had a lot of slop with mine, driving in a straight line but still steering left to right, firm feel is like driving a new car.only problem i had was waiting 6 weeks,4 week build time and 2 week wait for uk delivery.well worth the wait though and $300 was nt a lot of money.i fancy the rear sway bar they do as well.

Well slop is one thing , that is just worn components . As far as feel , they more than likely put in a restrictor to slow down fluid which will then give a better feel . I can do that myself for free !

I am pondering this now. Is it really worth it to get a firm feel box? or should I just rebuild my own  :icon_smile_question:

This is what I have been wondering as well. I would like to know the difference between a Firm Feel Stage 2 box and a newly rebuilt stock box. Does anyone make rebuild kits for the stock boxes anyways?

So far it looks like I'm going to farm out for the FF2 box and the Flaming River steering coupler . . .

Rock auto has the rebuild kit. I am sure you can get it alot of places.  Last night when I ordered my moog parts from them I seeen they had it but didn't order it. I could probably rebuild mine but am still pondering.
