I just replaced the peanut on my 68 Charger R/T, upgraded to an used Suregrip.

It is dripping oil from the "joint" behind the yoke and flange. I see from the shop manual there is a seal behind these parts.

Anybody changed this out and/or have a part number for the seal. I do not see an exploded view of the 8-3/4 rearend specifically in the shop manual.

need to remove the yoke and flange and then just pry up the old seal.

Sometimes the yoke gets a groove worn in it from the seal. You might want to check for this when you tear it apart. I know there is a sleeve that will repair this but I forget who makes it. I'm sure someone else will chime in.

Dan, I will check. I did have to use the yoke out of my old open rear end in the Suregrip because of a stripped bolthole. The open rear end did not leak so I am guessing it is just the seal.
