Help me out here, so is one year supposed to have the square reflector in it and one year not? Looks like the left taillight in this pic has it and the right side doesn't? I think the square reflector thing is for the '70's??

your Correct.  The reflector is for 70 model, 69 does not have them..

Interesting.  I didn't know any '69s ever leaked through the factory with the '70 lights.

Is anybody out there reproducing those lenses?

The 69 lenses DO NOT come with reflectors....ever.

The 70 Charger lenses on cars built from August 1, 1969 to December 31, 1969 did not have reflectors.

All 70 Charger lenses on cars from January 1, 1970 to July 10, 1970 had reflectors. It was a 1970 law.

How many '69 Chargers have you seen in person? Can you tell me how you know that some '69 Chargers came with reflective taillights?

yeah nacho you just got it crossed. no 69's had those reflectors. period. about half the 70's did, and half didn't. as a side note, lots og base model XH29 chargers had the 69 style trim rings around the taillights, and early ones you would think they just stuck leftover 69 lights in them, as there is no difference

I have seen totally stock low end 1970 Chargers with the 69 lense. Never seen a stock 1969 with the 70 lense.

True, All XH Chargers had '69 "style" lights with the exception of the silver line in the middle. They also didn't get the aluminum tail panel piece the 500 and R/T got. Also, rather than painting the back black like in '69, it is all body color. This yellow car will give you an idea.

Natcho, I would never make claims strictly going off pictures you have seen on the internet. I know virtually squat about 3rd gen Chargers, so I never make claims I can't be sure of. I would ask you guys first.  :yesnod:
