You mean like engine/trans/rearend etc? The engine ran perfectly when we took it out of the old car it was in. Not sure now, its been in the Charger since before we moved over here...so it hasnt run in about 6 years. The tranny was also in the old car and it shifted beautifully. I still dont know what kind of rear end is in my 69...I cant find any numbers on it, its too cover in dirt, grease, etc etc. I need to find a driveshaft that fits. Now body wise....Im looking everywhere for parts now (just to get ideas for pricewise). Im saving up, I have $125 so far plus abunch of $1 and $2 coins. And my b-days next week so I should be getting some more cash.

just a word to the wise...
i would start w/ the motor & trans and get the car running first.. before i worried about the body and all the nice shiny chrome trim!!!
what good is a car that looks good but doesn't run?!?!?!?
as far as i remember being told a long time ago.... the usually pecking order is MOTOR/TRANS/brakes (brakes are good to have LOL....mechanical stuff to get her going)..then the interior...(you need gauges & seats and to be comfy to drive)...then the body and the way she looks.
just my  :Twocents:!?!?!?
keep up the faith & the good work!!!!!!

Word. If I were to guess though, I'd bet that he was given it.

I deffintley appreciate my 69. Well my main concern right now is getting the frame rails, torsion bar crossmember and floor pans fixed. I want it structually sound. Mine as well do the quarters while Im at it lol. I plan on keeping the original interior in it. Just put carpets, headliner, package tray and lower door panels (which I can get for a package deal on $500). Even though the seats are ripped in certain places, who cares, those seats are a great part of my car :icon_smile_wink:. I might go for a 8 3/4 rearend for the 69.

Mean 318

most 318 cars had 8 3/4s in 68... it wasnt untill 69 or 70 that they started to put 8 1/4s under the SB cars
