WIW - Original Owner 1969 Triple Black Hemi Charger / auto console car / stripe delete w/RT Emblem on quarters / 14" wheels with wheel covers, rocker panel & wheel lip fender molding. UNRESTORED 80,+++ miles 7.5 out 10 condition.

Daytona R/T SE

hemigeno

It's hard to say without seeing the car.

Numbers matching?
Fender Tag?
Broadcast Sheet?
Lots-O-Documentation (dealer paperwork, receipts, etc.)?
Has there been ANY paint work done, or is it all original paint?

The car should not have come with 14" wheels - they were all supposed to be 15" wheels, so it'd be interesting to see what the story is with those.

That's a pretty rare & desirable car/combo, and I think the value could end up being way north of $100k depending on the above questions and a better feel for the overall condition of the car.  I take it this is a car you are either familiar with or WANTING to be familiar with?   :P

NYCMille

It's a car that I may be becoming VERY firmilar with if everything checks out - not sure yet.

It is a #'s matching car, again one owner, it does have the fender and owner says the back seats never been out of the car, sofor all intensive purposes it should be there. There has been some paint work, not sure how much though but I am finding out - also all paper work is supposedly in order and this is a no rust car. I'll be checking it out soon in person but was wondering for a ballpark figure on this thing - I'll get pics as soon as I can and post them.

Sounds like you will be able to trade me that 68 soon then!  ;) Well its a hemi and orig you could be looking at 80- 100+ depending on the options, and paperwork! I would lean more on the 80 side till i see pics!  :2thumbs:

70charger_boy

$110,000.  It would be worth more if it was a 4spd.  Can't go wrong with a triple black hemi charger

PocketThunder

I'll agree on 80k to 100k.  and when you get it i'll be happy to trade you for my 68 and 69 C500  :yesnod:    :icon_smile_big:   :icon_smile_big:

$70K ? :P

still keep that based on 7.5 out of 10 conditions... 10 conditions, maybe $90-110K depending of rest of equipment ?

He would be crazy to clone a documented unrestored #2 or 3 condition Hemi Charger, and if it checks out and he can get it anywere near 70k he needs to mortgage the house sell some blood what ever it takes.

I was only joking when I asked, but people do cut up some rare stuff from time to time. I remember a magazine spread on a pro-stock, or pro-street, 1963 split window Vette that some guy bought in mint condition. The seller loved the car & asked him what he planned to do with it. He said he would keep it stock. The seller believed him & sold it, then the buyer hacked it up & tubbed it.

It would probably handle like an old truck with 4 flat tires compared to your '68 then.

I have news... most new cars handle like old cars compared to my '68  :D.... BTW, where are you located? Your in NY right?

In all seriousness though, the '69 is in amazing shape and is truely a survivor and would be left that way - it is truely a time capsule.

I bet. After reading about a lot of the mods you did to your '68, I have no doubt in my mind I'll be making changes to the suspension on mine when I get to that part of the work. I've had my share of "old engineering" over the years & want to have some fun.

Yep, I'm about 60 miles north of you in Newburgh, & used to live in Manahattan on 104th St off Broadway.

I read in a news report that there is a bank robber loose in New York.  Last report was that the masked man looked like Dom DeLuise and was driving a 68 Charger  :scratchchin:

Easily, 100K...... Good luck on the future acquisition........

Maybe the 14's were put on at the dealership for the 15's with full wheel covers isn't the most attractive combination out there.. Maybe the original owner asked for road wheels?

But, like Geno and others have stated, out of the plant, it should have come with 15" painted steelies or full wheel covers.......

Any update on the car? I'd love to see some pics...

I just recently acquired a '69 hemi charger r/t 4sp project car that I plan on unfortunately putting a ton of $$$ into to make it perfect... I guess we'll see...

and I'm still a newbie to this site (only found it a few weeks ago after I found the car), but I DID watch Bullrun and pulled for you like you wouldn't believe! Screw those damn Olds brothers!
