Wiring Headache Help!!

[Old School]

I just hate wiring. When I hit the gas all the lights and things get brighter. Bad Ground?
If so where does one even begin to look for such a thing. I already fried one wire tapping the gas and
had to fix that. That was the wire coming from the alternator to the bulkhead connector.
Any ideas?

Try testing the alternator output when you are stepping on the pedal(with the car on) and see what you are putting out in volts.

me too i just bought a painless harness so i will not have to deal with old wiring

just unplug harnesses and clean conectors.

dimming stuff is tipical on Mopars, overheats too.

I know the gauges in the car are pegged when I hit the throttle. Thats what created the lightshow under the dash.
Thats the factory gauge and the aftermarket gauge.
I'm going to read Nacho's article and see if that sheds any light on this.

tipical of loosen, dirty, rusty terminals PLUS the factory dimming stuff, what makes the overheat and melt
