Problems with roofrail weatherstrip, need pics.

I purchased roofrail weatherstrip from year one. The weatherstrip appears way to long on the front post area. There are tabs on the channel but they don't line up with the weatherstrip. The weatherstrip has a corner molded in to match up with the corner in the channel. If I use this as a starting point the pillar section is way too long, it extends about five inches beyond the channel and into the door jamb. I don't have the old weatherstrip to compare it to, any pics of where the front edge overlaps into the door hinge area would be a big help.

The Gaskit will compress as you install it from the corner out.
